Morning Sickness Has Set In

Ok so I am new to this whole prego thing... but really I feel like I could puke at any moment. How long is this going to last???? I have been way tired and I am sure if you ask Tim he will tell you I have been a bit moody haha I think that is an understatement. I have also been having a lot of heartburn. Other then that things are going well.

hang in there. it is usually a good sign! I am very happy for you. As you know pregnancies vary widely I was ill constantly for 10 weeks straight (weeks 6-16) and Shannon was never sick! I wish you the best of luck!

Oh, but I'm sorry you're sick.

Oh, man, can I relate! You poor girl. But it is definitely a good sign!

Motherhood Maternity sell these little hard candies that helped me a bit. Most of them were sour flavors. They are expensive, though, so really any basic brand of hard candy that you can suck on may help.

I am so excited for you!

The old wives tale is that ginger helps. but I got so tired of gingersnaps and I didn't think they helped really.

I think I ate about a million goldfish crackers.

There is one other thing you can do. Ask your doc for a prescription of Zofran if it gets too bad. Erin took it and within a week or so was feeling much better (or at least wasn't getting sick everyday anymore).

Try drinking gator aide or "pregger" aide as my sister calls it. It really helped with her morning sickness because of the electrolites. She was only sick one week and then didn't have a problem since cause of all the gator aide she drank. :)

That's right! I am a medical genius! :p

I have also heard that if you eat something before your feet ever hit the floor in the morning, it is supposed to help. I kept crackers on my nightstand. I second the preggo pops, but also, peppermints worked for me (although I know they have triggered others!) hope you find something that helps soon! :) Its one of those situations where you have never been so happy to be sick!

Heartburn means that your baby is going to be born with a full head of red hair!
